Located on the North Kent coast in Herne Bay, Beacon Hill has views of the Reculver towers in the East and the Isle of Sheppy to the West. The park is set on a steep incline that flattens out by Beacon Hill road and drops down to the wide surfaced pathway that follows the coast line and forms part of the Saxon Shore Trail. Steps are available at various point to help with the decent and access to the shingle beach. Beach Restrictions?: Dogs are allowed on this section of the beach but if you walk into Herne Bay please note that dogs are not allowed on the beach between 1 May and 30 September between Herne Bay Pier and Lane End where the mini roundabout is located.

Beacon Hill Coastal Park is a great place for some dog friendly beach action and also allows for a gently walk along the promenade into Herne Bay for refreshments. Heading back along the top of the slopes allows you to take in the panoramic views across to Reculver. One of our favourite beach locations as it has a bit of everything.
