Introduction
Tankerton Bay is a continuation of the shingle beach at Tankerton Slopes and starts from the Beach Huts opposite The Royal Pub and stretches all the way along to Long Rock just past Whitstable Skate Park. The beach is backed by a wide concrete promenade and there is some grassed open space with benches running along the top.
Public toilets and refreshments from a cafe and restaurant can be found behind the Sailing Club.
This is a dog friendly beach all year round.
