    Long Rock is located between Whitstable and Herne Bay and has been designated part of the Thanet Coast Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI).

    Lots of important birds plants and insects are found here so please keep dogs onlead.  It is still however a beautiful and peaceful place to walk your dog especially if you make it part of longer walk from Herne Bay or Whitstable or Tankerton.

    Free parking can be found in Plough Lane

      We parked at Tankerton Beach which was free and walked along the promenade to Long Rock. What a beautiful walk. Will definitely go back there again.
