Introduction
Tankerton Slopes sits between Whitstable Beach and Tankerton Bay and has easy free parking along Marine Parade at the top of Tankerton Slopes. The area has a large grassed open space that rolls gently down to the promenade and the shingle beach where you can then walk into Whitstable town centre.
Dogs are not allowed on the beach between The Street (the start of the beach huts next to The Beacon House) and Pier Avenue (Next to The Royal Public house) from 1st May and 30th September.
Dogs must also be kept onlead on the promenade.

- Sloping pathways across Tankerton slopes down to the wide surfaced promenade.
- Dogs are not allowed on the beach between The Street and Pier Avenue from 1st May and 30th September. Dogs must also be kept onlead on the promenade.

- Public toilets available behind the sailing club, the cafe along Marine Parade and under the cafe on the promenade near Whitstable castle.
