The Vines is a small formal park set in the heart of Rochester just behind the high Street. Reported to be a favourite haunt of Charles Dickens and is overlooked by Restoration housewhere King Charles II stayed back in 1660. Historic local garden set behind Rochester High Street. A favourite haunt of Charles Dickens.
The park is very picturesque with a tree lined main pathway and wooden carvings dotted around and plenty of benches to sit on and look back in time. We kept the dogs onlead for this visit as it was fairly busy and not totally enclosed but on a quieter day its a great place for a quick off lead run if your visiting Rochester. A great place to walk if your visiting Rochester and exploring everything it has to offer.
Plenty of Pay and Display parking, cafes and toilets available around the High Street.
