Pevensey Bay is a stretch of shingle beach located to the east of Eastbourne and is said to be the place where William the conqueror landed in 1066 before the battle of Hastings.
Unusually this stretch of beach doesn't have any cliffs but does have sand exposed at low tide and is dog friendly all year round.
Refreshments available form a number of cafes located around the car park.
Parking and toilets are available in the Pay and Display car park off Sea road
