Perry Wood is set between the villages of Selling and Shottenden and is easily acessed from the A251 Ashford Road that runs between Faversham and Challock.
There is a good network of bridalways and footpaths around the wood. “The Mount” viewing platform that was used as part of a semaphore chain and relayed messages from London down to the Kent ports was easy to find and provides great views as you would expect.
There is a short accessible walk located near the car park and The Rose and Crown pub was a great find that was dog friendly and had a good vibe with other dog walkers enjoying a drink.

We plotted our own route that is shown above and had the map app open on the phone whilst we walked but you can pretty much just follow your nose and find your way round this circular walk.
Click the walk title in the top right of the above window to open the route on the AllTrails website or the mobile app. You can then create a free account which will then allow you to follow the route as you walk on your mobile. If you would rather not sign up to AllTrails free account and would like to use another mapping app (such as OS Maps, Outdooractive or Komoot etc) on your phone then you can download the GPX file below and import this into your desired app inorder to follow the trail.
Easy to find with SatNav and lots of parking available. We met a few other people on the walk with their dogs but it was at the weekend so if visiting in the week im sure it would be much quieter. The dog walk had beautiful scenery with a forest kinda vibe to it which made it stand out from other woodland walks. The viewing platform and pub were a big plus point for us so if you dont mind a couple of steep footpaths its well worth a visit.
