Introduction
Jeskyns community woodland was opened in 2007 and covers 360 acres of grassland, orchards, meadows and woodland which is owned and maintained by the forestry commission. With wide accessible hard surfaced path ways, grass trails and bridal paths there is a walk for everyone. There are signposted trails, a dog activity area, an enclosed dog training area, childrens play areas, picnic benches and dog bins located all round the country park.
The park is also linked by pathways known as ‘The Darnley Trail’ to the nearby Shorne Country Park, Cobham Park, Ranscombe Farm Reserve and Ashenbank wood so your walk can really be as long or as short as you like.

Walk Details
- Start you walk from the car park and head towards the Cafe.
- Follow this pathway taking the right hand fork when it splits and head down towards the Pond.
- There is a concrete slope into the pond to allow dogs to enter safely so if your dog likes the water then let them have a play.
- Walk past the pond and turn right heading off onto the start of the orchard walk.
- Follow this to the end and cross over the lane into the orchards.
- Follow the surfaced pathway around and head left at the junction.
- At the next footpath juction either turn left and head towards the exit @ Round Street then take the unsurfaced trail to the right just before the exit or if you want to stay on the hard surfaced pathways turn right at the junction.
- Regardless to which path you take follow your pathway heading right at the next junction then left heading back to where you came in.
- Retrace your foot steps back to just before the pond and then continue past turn right up the long straight pathway all the way to top up a slight incline.
- At the top turn left and either head straight back down or take a slight diversion round a small loop by heading right.
- Follow the pathway all the way down and continue along the grassed pathway where you will eventually come back to the carpark.

Jeskyns has a bit of everything with a dog pond with sloped entry, open spaces, woodland, orchards and even a dog activity trail. Lots to explore and cafe for a coffee at the end of your walk.

- Fairly flat walk with no major inclines. Wide solid pathways around the whole park with footpaths and bridal paths if your feeling adventurous.
