Introduction
Whinless Down Nature Reserve sits adjacent to Elms Vale Recreation Ground which is located just outside of Dover. The reserve is set on an area of steep chalk downland which is sometimes grazed by cattle and has great views over Dover Castle and the French Coast.
A great network of footpaths cover the reserve but these can be uneven, unmade and steep.
Dogs should be kept onlead if cattle are grazing.
Parking available in the Elm Vale Recreation Ground car park off Elms Vale road.
