Introduction
Walpole Bay is located near the centre of Margate just round the corner from the main Margate beach. It is a long sandy bay with a tidal pool and promenade but only a small beach is left at high tide.
Dogs are allowed on the beach all year round but must be kept onlead between 10am and 6pm from 1st May to 30th September.
Free parking availble in the surrounding roads.

- Sandy beach with wide concrete promenade
- Accessible promenade all the way to Palm Bay
- No dogs are allowed on this beach between 10am and 6pm from 1st May to 30th September.
- Dog bins available
- Free parking availble in the surrounding roads.
- When we visited there were two porta loos on the promenade. If not then Margate would be the nearest place for public toilets.
- Cafe available at the Jet ski centre next door in Palm Bay or the Palm Bay Cafe on the cliff top.
