Introduction
The Contra Trail is a gentle out and back 6 km each way walk from Ramsgate harbour to Pegwell Bay Country Park. The walk takes you through the busy town of Ramsgate and onto the quiet coastal path round to Pegwell Bay.
The walk can be started at any point on the route if you want a shorter walk or start from Pegwell Bay country park and do it in reverse.
Pay and display car park available in the harbour and at pegwell bay.

12 September 2026 at 16:44I finally did this walk with a friend, we started at Broadstairs and walked to Pegwell Nature Reserve. Beautiful scenery and mostly flat walk. Would definitely do it again.
