Introduction
Shingle Bank is located on the north coast of the Isle of Sheppy adjacent to the main beach area Minster Leas. The beach is a long stretch of shingle beach that slopes up to a grass bank with parking along the top and is a popular beach for water sports with a launching ramp.
Refreshments are available in the Little Oyster Tea Room at the end of The Leas and from The Sweet Hut on the promenade or in Barton's point Coastal Park.
Free parking available on the raised bank behind the beach off Marine Parade.
This beach is dog friendly all year round from The Playa Public house all the way along to Sheerness beach but as it is popular with water sports users it is asked that dogs are kept under close control.
