Royal Military Canal

Royal Military Canal stretches all the way from Hythe to where it meets the River Rother north of Rye.  A recent £3.5m restoration of the 7km section from Seabrook to West Hythe Dam now offers an easy and relaxing out and back walking route making it really easy to make the walk any length you want. If you do however make it all the way to the West Hythe Dam then you will be rewarded with some refreshments available from a micro brewery called Unit 1 located close to the bridge over the canal on the West Hythe Road or there is picnic benches dotted along the route.

Parking available along the sea front or in the car park at the end of Princes Parade.
