Introduction
Mermaids Beach is a pebble beach located in front of the Lower Leas Coastal Park.
Cafe and toilets available in the Lower Leas Coastal Park located behind the beach.
Main pay and display car park is available on the shore front off Lower Sandgate Road next to the funicular although there are plenty of other places around the Leas to park.
Dogs are not allowed on the beach from the Mermaid cafe up to the main coastal car park and the funicular from 1st May to 30th September.

- Dogs are not allowed on Mermaid beach from the Mermaid cafe up to the main coastal car park and the funicular from 1st May to 30th September. The beach from the Mermaid cafe towards Sandgate is dog friendly all year round.
- Main pay and display car park is available on the shore front off Lower Sandgate Road next to the funicular although there are plenty of other places around the Leas to park.
- Public toilets can be found slightly back up the leas behind the cafe.
- The Mermaid Cafe is located close to the promenade.
