Hythe Beach is a long pebble beach that drops quite steeply into the sea at high tide. The beach is backed by a wide promenade that runs all the way to Sandgate. Public toilets, cafe's and mobile coffee and ice cream kiosks can be found on the promenade. A little further back into Hythe you can find the Royal Military Canal and winding streets with independant shops. The beach can be a popular location for fishing so mind to keep your dogs away from the anglers so they do not get hooked.
Free parking can be found in the roads that run adjacent to the promenade.
Dog restrictions in place from Twiss Road (The Lazy Shack Cafe) and St Leonards Road (Hythe Imperial Hotel) between 1st May and 30th September.
The section of beach to the east of the Hythe Imperial Hotel to Sandgate is dog friendly all year round.
