Introduction
Hengistbury Head is located to the east of Bournemouth and is a large nature reserve set adjacent to the beautiful sandy beach. With its own dedicated dog walk trail, dog friendly beach, cafe, toilets and parking this is a great spot for a walk.
Well behaved dogs are welcome but please check out the map (see link below) to find the best places in the reserve for off lead fun and those where your dog should be onlead or close by.

- Easy - A fairly easy and flatish walk
- Dog walking trail is on unsurfaced footpaths and takes you through woodland, grassland and along the sandy beach.
- Some hard surfaced pathways available. More details available here
- Follow signs located around the Dog trail
- Dog bins available
- Large Pay and Display car park.
- Toilets available next to the cafe
- Large cafe next to the car park with both indoor and outdoor seating
