Darenth Country Park is situated on the former site a Dartford Hospital and now consists of grazing pastures, wild flower meodows and orchards. With a variety of surfaced and unsurfaced pathways covering the site with some great views this park is a great dog walk all year round.
Facilities at the site are limited and are restricted to just a large free car park and picnic area and does not have a cafe or toilet facilities.

The walk we did above gives you an idea of the elevation and distance of a walk around the park. The park has well defined paths so getting around and choosing your own route is easy enough and you wont get lost. If your not sure then follow our route from the AllTrails app or download the route to use in a map app of your choice.
Click the walk title in the top right of the above window to open the route on the AllTrails website or the mobile app. You can then create a free account which will then allow you to follow the route as you walk on your mobile. If you would rather not sign up to AllTrails free account and would like to use another mapping app (such as OS Maps, Outdooractive or Komoot etc) on your phone then you can download the GPX file below and import this into your desired app inorder to follow the trail.
Darenth Country Park is tucked away from Dartford and the M25 but we found it easy to find. Its a peaceful walk with lots of variety and space to explore away from other people if your dog is reactive or nervous. Overall a great walk but no toilets or cafe.
A great find, and so close to home! This country park was enjoyed by dogs and grandchildren. The paths are well looked after and easily accessible. Lots of history there also. The car park appeared to be free which is a bonus. I will definitely be going back to explore further. Thank you outwiththedog
