Introduction
Blue Bell Hill Reserve is situated next door to Burham Down Reserve the chalk grassland, scrub and woodland sits high up with panoramic views across to Leybourne and West Malling.
Some of the footpaths form part of the North Downs long distance route and the area contains quite a few steep and uneven paths.
Notice boards and a dog bin can be found next to the car park along with benches and picnic tables. The car park has a height barrier and is closed over night.

Walk Details
- Start the walk from the carpark and head off to the right across the grassland and through the first kissing gate.
- Follow through the next kissing gate and follow the footpath down hill until you come to a footpath crossroads.
- From here we went straight on until we reached the Byway. Turn right and follow it up a steep incline to the top where you reach the road and the Robin Hood pub.
- Head towards the pub and take the pathway that goes down the left hand side and into the woodland.
- Follow this path way all the way downhill to nearly the end and then turn right heading back up the path through woodland.
- Follow this pathway all the way back up to the road. Cross the road and head down the Byway opposite.
- This will bring you back to the kissing gate you went through earlier. Turn left and follow the path back to the carpark.

Amazing views across the Kent countryside but paths can be uneven and steep making it not suitable for all. It is an easy walk to The Robin Hood Pub though which is just down the road and it is dog friendly.
Walk Information
- Moderate - A walk with some hilly sections and some uneven pathways
- A Circular walk approx 6Km (3.7 Miles)
- Approx. 1.5 Hours dependant on pace.
- Set on a hillside so some paths are steep and uneven. The walk up the Byway is particularly steep. Footpaths can become very muddy in winter and wet weather.
- Sadly there are no hard surfaced pathways here but you can still enjoy the view from the carpark
- No Stiles but some kissing gates.
- Dogs allowed off lead.
- Dog bins available
- Free car park available in Common Road (Closed overnight. See sign at car park entrance for opening and closing times).
