
Stanford Warren Nature Reserve is set in 41 acres and managed by Essex Wildlife Trust. Once a former gravel quarry back in the 1920's that is now bisected by the River Hassenbrook the area now hosts one of the largest reedbeds in the country.
Access to Stanford Warren is via the footpath located to the right of St John the Baptist church and is an out and back route although you can link up with footpaths that cover the Thameside Nature Reserve to create a circular walk.
Cafe and toilets are available at the Thameside Nature Discovery Park vistors centre.
Free parking available in the car park off Mucking Wharf Road.
