Introduction
Brandon Country Park
Brandon country Park is located in the heart of Thetford Forest in Suffolk and hosts has over 30 acres of managed parkland, a haunted 👻 mausoleum, lawns, pond, historic walled garden and a great network of trails to explore.
Back in the 19th century the site was the manufacturing location for gunflints for the British Army and was said to be the gold standard of all fint, guaranteed to spark on each shot!
Four waymarked trails start from outside the tea room and range from the Red 1 mile trail taking around 30 mns to the Orange 5.5 mile trail taking around 2.5 hours dependant on your pace.
Dogs are welcome but the Walled Garden and Tearoom are sadly dog free zones (except for guide dogs)
Facilities includea cafe, public toilets and large pay and display car park.
