Woolacombe Beach is reported to be one of the best sandy beaches in the UK and is located on the North Devon Coast near Ilfracombe.
A great beach walk, after 1st October only unfortunately, although when the tide is out there are plenty of little "sand pools" of sea water for the pooches to splash about in. We parked in the esplanade car park which is £8 per day or £4 after 1pm ( they close at 6pm) can walk for miles on the sandy beach.
Dogs banned from Good Friday or 1st April until 30th September on Woolacombe Beach from the rocks to the stream (Zone A). South of the stream until Mill Rock (Zone B), dogs must be on leads from 1st May until 30th September. South of Mill Rock (Zone C), dogs are allowed all year without restriction. At Barricane Beach, dogs must be on leads from May to September.
