It has two walking routes that have been designed to lead you to the best parts of the woodland. Most of the footpaths are flat and well surfaced with no barriers or stiles making it a walk suitable for all.
Free parking available in the large West Wood car park with a 1.8m height barrier so vans such VW transporters etc probaly wont fit under. There is however some parking available outside on the road side.

We took a lovely walk through West Wood and although there were a few cars in the car park we didnt see a sole. A very peacefully woodland away from busy roads and The Lord Whiskey Tea Rooms just up the road for after walk refreshments.
