Two Tree Island Nature Reserve covers around 260 hectares and is located close to Leigh on Sea in an area that was reclaimed from the sea back in the 18th century when a seawall was built around the saltmarch and then originally used for farming.
Today it is a popular walking destination and provides a habitat for thousands of birds. There is around 6km of gravel and grass trails around the reserve with Bird Hides and Picnic areas. Dogs are asked to be kept under control and on lead between March and September to avoid disturbing ground nesting birds
Free parking availble in one of two car parks at the reserve.
