Abbots Wood

Abbots Wood is located near Polegate and is a great place for a dog walk with walking trails a medieval lake, play area, barbecues and picnic tables.

The two way marked trails are as follows:

Abbots Amble (Yellow markers) which takes along the gravel track forest roads and through wood on dirt trails which can become very muddy but does lead you down to a lake which was originally dug in medieval times by local Monks.

Oak Wood Walk is a short walk which follows mainly the dirt tracks around the woods.

Three disabled parking bays are available in the pay and display car park and the toilet block has one designated toilet for disabled customers.
