Semer Water Nature Reserve is a pretty glacial lake formed at the end of the last Ice Age, set in the lap of Raydale, a side valley off Wensleydale. Semer Water is the second-largest natural lake in North Yorkshire, and provides valuable habitat for breeding and wintering birds.
A great place for fishing, canoeing, sailing and wind surfing or just sitting, enjoying the views and having a picnic after exploring with your dog.
