Cliffe Woods is a small village set on the Hoo Peninsula with easy access from the surrounding area and close to the M2 motorway.
This circular walk shown below takes you through the woodland paths along bridal paths and across fields. During the winter and wet weather the walk can become particularly muddy so sturdy waterproof boots are recommended.
- – Free Parking in surrounding road or at the shops car park off Parkside Road.
- – Local shops nearby to purchase food and drink.
Distance: Approx 4 Miles (6.4km)
Time: Around 2 hours dependant on your pace.
Terrain: A fairly flat walk but has one fairly steep descent as you enter Berry Court Wood and a fairly steep ascent as you re-enter the woods from the road.
Stiles: 2 – Easily passable for small to medium sized dogs
Dogs on Leads?: Dogs should be kept under control in the woods and it is advisable to keep your dog on-lead past Lodge Hill Camp, in Berry Court Wood (Archery Club adjacent to the footpath), across the farm land and obviously along the road.

A leaflet has been produced by ‘The Cliffe Community and Conservation Partnership’ which gives you lots of information and detailed directions for the circular walk and is well worth printing off and taking on the walk.
