Jeskyns community woodland was opened in 2007 and covers 360 acres of grassland, orchards, meadows and woodland which is owned and maintained by the forestry commission. With wide accessible hard trails, grass paths and bridal paths there is a walk for everyone. There are signposted trails, a dog activity area, an enclosed dog training area, childrens play areas, picnic benches and dog bins located all round the country park.
For further information please visit ‘The forestry commission’ website where you will get the latest information on activities, events and download maps and informaion leaflets.
With 7 different signposted trails and five different zones, Jeskynes is great place to walk your dog no matter what time of the year or your level of fitness or ability. The dog activity area provides various agility tasks for your dog to try and master and the fenced training field is a great idea for all of those dogs in need of a bit of training in a secure enviroment.
The park is linked by pathways known as ‘The Darnley Trail’ to the nearby Shorne Country Park, Cobham Park, Ranscombe Farm Reserve and Ashenbank wood so your walk can really be as long or as short as you like. Take a look at the maps by clicking on the link above.
The entrance to Jeskyns is located on Henhurst Road, Cobham, Kent, DA12 3AN
