Introduction

Trosley Country Park has 170 acres of woodland and chalk downland with spectacular views over the North Downs.

Three waymarked trails take you around the park and cater for different abilities with the Downland Trail which is very steep in parts,  the Woodland Walk which is much gentler and the Trosley Trail which is suitable for buggies and wheelchairs.  All trails provide spectacular views over the downs.

General Information

Distance:  The Red Woodland walk is 4km (2.5miles),  The Blue Downland Trail is 3.2km (2miles) and can be extended to 6.4km (4miles),  finally there is a yellow Trosley Trail which is 2.4km (1.5miles).

Time:  Depends on your chosen route and pace.

Terrain:  Generally the woodland is fairly flat with the chalk downlands set on a steep slope.  The Red Woodland walk is therefore fairly easy,  the Blue Downland Trail is a steep hilly walk and the yellowTrosley Trail is an easy walk suitable for buggies and whellchairs.

Stiles:  None.  Only kissing gates.

Dogs on leads?:  Dogs are welcome but to be kept on lead around the carpark, cafe and where animals are grazing. 

Dog Bins:  Yes

Parking:  Paid parking available in the large car park.

Click the walk title in the top right of the above window or clicking here will open the route on the AllTrails website or the mobile app.  You can then create a free account which will then allow you to follow the route as you walk on your mobile.  If you would rather not sign up to All trails free account and use another mapping app (such as OS Maps, Outdooractive or Komoot etc) on your phone then you can download the GPX file below and import this into your desired app inorder to follow the trail.

The Walk Details ...

The walk we did above takes in part of the Red and Blue walks and gives you an idea of the elevation and distance of a walk around the park.  The park has well defined paths so getting around and choosing your own route is easy enough and you wont get lost.  If your not sure then follow our route from the All Trails app or download the route to use in a map app of your choice.
