Introduction

Teston Bridge Country Park was opened to the public back in 1978 this 32 acres of grazed meadows with river walks and large grassed area adjacent to the carpark is all set around the 15th Century Teston Bridge.

Dogs are welcome but to be kept on lead around the carpark and play area.  Tutsham meadow and Coobe Hill are grazed by cattle and ponies at certain times of the year and signs will be on the gates at this time to advise that dogs are to be on lead.

General Information

Distance: Various footpaths both surfaced and unsurfaced exist around the country park along with access to the Medway Valley walk which leads to Rochester in the East (16miles) or Tonbridge in the West (12miles).

Time:  Depends on your chosen route and pace.

Terrain:  Easy access pathways lead from the carpark to Teston Lock for a short stroll or venture onto the unsurfaced footpaths all of which are fairly flat.

Accessible:  Easy access pathway leads from the car park down to the lock area.  More details can be found here.

Stiles:  None.  Only kissing gates.

Dogs on leads?:  Dogs are welcome but to be kept on lead around the carpark and play area.  Tutsham meadow and Coobe Hill are grazed by cattle and ponies at certain times of the year and signs will be on the gates at this time to advise that dogs are to be on lead.

Parking:  Paid parking available in the large car park.

The walk we did above gives you an idea of the elevation and distance of a walk arounf the park.  The park has well defined paths so getting around and choosing your own route is easy enough and you wont get lost.  If your not sure then follow our route from the All Trails app or download the route to use in a mapp app of your choice.
