Originally part of a 18th Century country estate,  Manor Park offers 52 acres which is divided into four sections:

  • The Lake with swans, moorhens and dabchicks
  • Abbey Field and Chestnut Paddocks which are grazed fields
  • Ice House Field located on the far side of the lake with the remains of an old ice store which was used to store ice taken from the lake over the winter and was then used in the manor house kitchen.  This field was also used as a prison camp for interned Germans in WW2.
  • Douce Meadow which is an area of open grassland with play area, picnic tables and near the cafe.
