Introduction

Dumpton Gap Bay is a sandy beach with a wide promenade liking it to Viking Bay.  Access to the beach is down a long steepish slope which leads you to a cafe kiosk called the Bayside Cafe.

At high tide the beach is fairly small but at low tide it is possible to walk all the way round to Ramsgate or Broadstairs and has large rock pools.

Please check tide times inorder to avoid getting cut off .

Toilets are seasonal from 26th March 8am-7.30pm

General Information

Terrain:  Sandy beach with promenade that connects to Viking Bay in Broadstairs. 

Accessible:  Hard surfaced pathway leads down to the sea wall and cafe.  The pathway is on the steep side though so may not be suitable for all.

Beach Restrictions? :  No restrictions.  Dogs allowed on the beach all year round.

Dogs on leads?:  Dogs allowed off lead. 

Dog Bins:  Yes.  

Parking:  Free parking in surrounding roads.
