Introduction

Cobtree Manor Park sits on the site of what was the Old Maistone Zoo and covers over 50 acres of woodland and parkland.  Some of the remains of the old zoo can still be seen such the elephant house and there is a large picnic area, cafe serving hot and cold food, toilets and childrens paly area.

General Information

Distance: Our route covers approx. 2km and takes you around the whole park but its easy to just go for a wonder and follow your nose.

Time:  Approx. 1 hour dependant on route and pace.

Terrain: Hard surfaced path is available around the whole park but other track do exist in the woodland and grass paths take you through the meadows at the top of the park.  As the park is set on a hillside there is an incline as you head away from the carpark.

Accessible:  Accessible hard surfaced pathways are available for a circular walk around most of the country park.

Stiles: None

Dogs on leads?: Dogs allowed off lead around the park but probably best on lead when around the carpark which can be busy at times and is next to the busy Forstal Road.

Dog Bins:  Yes

Parking:  Large pay and dispaly carpark available.  Can also pay via parking apps.

Cobtree Manor Park is easy to navigate and as such you can just follow the hard surfaced pathway around the whole park and venture off into the grass parkland to allow your dog to run and enjoy the walk.
