Introduction

Botany Bay is located between Margate and Broadstairs with a large sandy beach which is also good for fossil hunting and exploring the rock pools at low tide.

Above the beach there is a large grassed area with hard surfaced pathways where you can also access public toilets and visit the Botany Bay Hotel / Pub for refreshments.

For those feeling more active and wanting to explore further then the 32 mile Viking Coastal Trail passes through here taking you towards Margate in east or Broadstairs in the west.

Dog Restrictions:
Dogs are not allowed on the beach between 10am and 6pm from 1 May to 30 September.
